Lawley is growing our Risk Management team! Position Focus:

• Make recommendations on safety improvements, conduct job hazards analyses to identify hazards and potential risks, complete workplace safety audits and ensure remedial action where necessary Respond to internal customer requests in a timely manner
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the site ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised, interpret and apply regulatory requirements applicable to the project scope of work and develop site-specific safety programs/plans to include emergency actions, response, evacuation and security plans
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers, agency personnel and other business contacts

• Support all Lawley Insurance initiatives, as guided by Lawley values, sales culture and scorecard

Successful candidates ideally possess:

• Minimum of five years of experience in a safety related role working on construction projects
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1926 as applied to the construction industry
• Experience providing specialized services such as NY state code 59 and 60 assessments, industrial hygiene testing and/or client seminars of loss controls subjects
• OSHA 30 Hour certificate required
• Experience working with carriers, such as Travelers, ORYX, CNA or Selective
• Flexible schedule to meet timing requirements of client needs
• Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
• Positive attitude, even in a fast paced environment
• A need to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued
• Capability to work quickly and efficiently
• Precise communication skills, even under time constraints
